Life on Inle Lake

A house on stilts can come in very handy when the lake you're on changes from winter dry to summer monsoon.

There's a curious way of rowing on Inle Lake that I have never seen before. A fishermen will wrap one leg around a long oar and maneuver that to balance and propel his boat while his hands remain free to work the nets.
