Though I don't like the sport I still had to admire the stadium itself. In just a few days this 3 story structure is jury-rigged together using poles, boards, rope and straw for the few weeks in April when the bullfights are held. Not one nail is used in its construction. It's dismantled just as quickly when the fighting is finished.

JoJo and I toyed with the idea of getting tickets for Sunday night. We were told that was when the best bulls would be paraded out and finally killed. But as we looked around at the carnival atmosphere and thought about all the mud and the blood and the beer, we demurred.
