In Indonesia, you are never far from a volcano. Many are active. And where there are volcanos there are earthquakes. The last big one rocked central Java in May of 2006.

These temples were accidently rediscovered in 1811 by a British surveyor but it wasn't until the 1930s that serious restoration was begun by the Dutch. As you can see, there's still a lot to do. But like Humpty Dumpty, these ruins will never be put back together again. What natural disasters left behind over the centuries, looters took away.
