My interest in this picture is not so much the colorful figures on the roof of the pagoda as the electrical wiring on the street. I don't know how they sort out this tentaculate mess.

Power outages are quite frequent in Vietnam. We don't exactly know when, or where, or why they occur, and we don't know how long they'll last - but usually not more than a day. Many small businesses and private houses are equipped with generators for just such a contingency.
