We signed up for cooking lessons in Hoi An. We started at 8 in the morning with a tour of the market and that was followed by a 25 minute boat ride downstream to a bamboo house where we got to, first watch, then try to create, and then eat, about a half dozen Vietnamese dishes. This was my favorite - how to make fresh rice paper. Does this mean I will no longer have to schlep to Rome to buy the packaged, dry, cracked paper from Thailand? I hope so. |
