The Churning of the Ocean Milk is a bas-relief about 50 meters long. In it, 88 Gods (devas) line up on the right, and 92 demons (asuras) on the left, each pulling on one end of a long serpent.

The end result of all this tugging and stirring, after 1,000 years, is the elixir of immortality. And everybody wants to get their hands on some of that.
