It wasn't just the Moors who were thrown out of Spain by the Catholic Monarchs, Jews were forced to leave as well, but they were a relatively small population. The Jewish quarter is one of the most beautiful in Cordoba with its meandering alleys and narrow pedestrian streets. The Cordoba Synagogue, which dates from the 14th century, is one of the few in Spain to have been preserved. |
