At the beginning of the month Campeche was still in party mode. January 6th, the Feast of the Epiphany or Twelfth Night, is when 3 kings appeared in Bethlehem to hand out gifts. This is traditionally the day kids get their presents - not Christmas Day.

Everyone in Mexico eats Rosca de Reyes - a ring-shaped cake. If you didn't make your own you could still get one at a local supermarket where they were cranked out by the thousands.
