Welcome to the Serpent's Mouth or the House of Itzamná, the Mayan god of creation. Itzam can mean serpent or lizard and that's how he is portrayed.

The building faces directly west. The whole facade is Itzamná's face. The door is his mouth and you can see his eyes above. A nearby sign reads:

To enter this cavity signifies introducing oneself into the entrails of the sacred monster, the origin of the universe.

So is this a morgue, a midwives' clinic, a Spook House, or what? No one really knows.
