What is it about the Maya? Why does everyone think they were so other -worldly and mysterious? Why are so many people worked up about the end of the world? Why does INAH, Mexico's "National Institute of Anthropology and History", a highly regarded institution, find it necessary to debunk an extraterrestrial connection with the Mayans? It's weird.
