Home Sweet Home
This is our apartment in Vientiane's Thong Sang Nang district. It's a village that used to lie outside the city limits but got incorporated as the city expanded.

We live in a kind of a mini gated community. It's got 8 studio apartments, all filled with falangs (the Asian equivalent of gringos). Countries represented in our little clique are: Canada, Australia, Korea, Japan, France and Germany - and us, the only Americans.

It's a short bike ride from the school, Vientiane College, where I hope to start teaching in January.
