Our first stop in Vientiane, after a much delayed trip from Rome, was Hotel Villa Manoly. We stayed here while looking for our own place which we found within a few days. That's JoJo reading poolside.

The peaked roofs in the background are just one of the many wats, or Buddhist temple compounds that can be seen throughout the city, and indeed, the country.
