Judging from what I've seen in markets here, Laotians will eat just about anything that moves. I won't be giving you the recipe for Cricket Pâté, or Silkworm Soup, but I'm sure that'll appear at some point on JoJo's blog.

I will say that I prefer Mexican crickets to Laotian - or maybe it's not the bugs themselves, just the way they're prepared. In Oaxaca, they fry them up whole with just a little garlic, salt and chile. Mmmmm.
