Thanksgiving, the quintessential American holiday.

We went to our butcher about mid-November and ordered a turkey big enough for 24 hungry expats. Here's the 16 kilo (35 lb) bird he found for us.

From left to right that's Lauro, Luciana and Fabio. The one in the middle? I guess his name is Tom.

Without a wood-burning brick oven at our house, I would never have attempted cooking him.
