One morning, about a week after our olive harvest, we awoke to this sight - which is a relatively rare one in Umbria in November.

On days like this there's nothing much to do but kick back and throw another log on the fire.

But snow never lasts long here - by midday it had all melted except on the caps of nearby mountains.
