A few kilometers north of Ubud you'll find Tirta Empul, a holy spring that has magical powers. People come here by the busload to bathe. There are several pools that people can visit and each one has a particular power. This one I call the "nightmare pool" because it's supposed to get rid of bad dreams. There's another one that I call the "voodoo pool" because it's believed that a dip in those waters will ward off the effects of witchcraft.
