Ask anyone in Indonesia and they will tell you that Flores will be the next Bali. Meaning that it will soon be much more popular on the tourist circuit. That's going to mean a lot more infrastructure. Right now there is only one two-lane road running east-west that connects almost all the main towns on the island. If you go off that road in any direction you better be in a solid 4x4 or you'll soon run into problems.

This is the village of Belaraga. We stayed overnight here. Our accomodation was near the top of the village - to be exact, the last hut on the left. It was an incredibly lovely, fascinating and memorable stay.
