Monkeys, sloths and other tree creatures don't understand "zebra" crossings. So special netted walkways, like this one, were put up along major highways to help them get about safely.

One night recently, to help me fall asleep, I counted all the different countries where I've been behind the wheel. To date: 27 countries on 5 continents - some right, and some left hand drives.

Brazil rates high on my list of countries where motorists have learned good driving skills. They're courteous, they don't speed, they don't tailgate, they signal their intentions. And may I say in passing that these are skills which many Italian drivers have yet to grasp.
