Nam's house is simple and beautiful. A large, open, tiled terrace out front surrounded by flowers, palms and bonzai trees. The house itself is about 5 x 8 meters. The front room is for eating and watching TV, the rear room is divided up into bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom are in separate shacks behind the house.

Although Nam's family's land is not wide it does extend back for hundreds of meters. This backyard area includes a small cemetery where his grandparents are buried.
