One of the nice things about being in Istanbul for a few months is that you have time to visit sites off the main tourist trail, such as the Church of the Holy Savior Outside the Walls. The exterior is not all that impressive, just another 1,600 year old Byzantine structure of layered brick and stone. Inside are more mosaic treasures. |
