Bridges are not all that are made of teak. It's a beautiful, strong, enduring wood that takes the chisel well. This is Shwe In Bin Kyaung Monastery. It was commissioned by a couple of wealthy jade merchants in 1895. It's made entirely of teak and the carvings are elegant if a bit weather worn.
