Saint Michael’s Day is a big fiesta in Tlacotalpan. It involves dance, games, fireworks and bulls running loose in the streets. After dark on the evening of September 29th we arrived at San Miguelito just as mass was letting out and crowds were forming around a nearby makeshift wooden stage. The girls were on one side. They wore beautiful white, flounced dresses, called deschillados. On the opposite side were the boys. Click below for more |
