Our backyard did not look like this when we first saw it in December last year. The banana, lime and jobo trees, and the coconut palm were there. But now, in the height of the rainy season, the whole place was inundated -- our own private mosquito incubation center.

There were also families of Green Herons, Great-tailed Grackles, Golden-fronted Woodpeckers, Inca Doves and Tropical Kingbirds and a couple of iguanas. At night we had a chorus of frogs.
