An invisible line runs laterally about 23º north of the equator. It stretches across the globe: Mexico, The Bahamas, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, India, southern China and back across the Pacific to Mexico. It's the Tropic of Cancer. Along this line at noon on June 21, the sun will be directly overhead.
