Wal-Mart is a sleazy operation and they're big in Mexico. They have 5 stores in Campeche alone.

In the US their policies and practices have come under attack from labor unions, environmental groups, religious organizations and most recently, the federal government for being in breach of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) of 1977.

Wal-Mart de Mexico has for years been paying bribes to officials at the local, state and national levels to be able to build when and where and what they want - even in the shadow of a national historic monument like Teotihuacan, just north of Mexico City.
