One Sunday morning, it was around lunchtime and I was going to hop on my motorbike to do a little shopping. But ... flat tire. So I wheeled it around the corner to my 'garage' guys. They fixed it in about 15 minutes for 5000 kip (60¢). For another $3 they changed the oil.

Could you imagine this happening in, say, Italy? First off, it was a Sunday so there'd be zero chance of the place even being open. On top of that it was lunchtime - a sacrosanct part of any and every day!

I'm going to miss Laos.
