Li Phi Falls

Li Phi means "spirit catching" and it is believed that these falls catch the spirits of people and animals that may have fallen into the Mekong.

But phi are not the only things caught here. That bamboo contraption you see down by the water is not a ruined bridge, as I thought, but an elaborate fish trap which can catch ½ ton of fish a day during the early rainy season.
