This is the Bangkok home of Jim Thompson, an American architect who first came to Thailand at the end of WWII as an officer of the OSS - a forerunner to the CIA. After the war he remained in Thailand and was dedicated to revitalizing a cottage industry of hand-woven Thai silk. He also collected Thai antiques and built this beautiful place to accommodate his collection.
