Thousands of people show up for the Sagra della Cipolla which is held the first 2 weeks of September in the town of Cannara not far from us.

The menu includes onion soup, onion with sausage, roasted onions with balsamic vinegar, onion foccacia, shin of pork with onions -- the only thing I didn't see was onion ice cream but someone told me they're working on it. At first I thought he was kidding - but I'm not so sure.
