As we all know by now these are strange times - and particularly for travellers. Everyone is advised, if not ordered, to stay home. But our home is in Italy.

We got one of the last flights out of Ecuador to spend a week in New York City - visiting our son and his family. (These plans were all made well before CV took over the planet.)

I grew up in New York and I have to say, I've never seen the Times Square subway station look like this during rush hour.
