I look at this poster in the beisbol stadium here and I think: What if George W. Bush had taken on the job of Commissioner of Baseball (which was a possibility for him years ago) instead of becoming President - wouldn't the US be better off today?

And then I wonder: What if Fidel had played shortstop for Los Industriales, the Havana team, instead of leading a revolution, would Cuba be better off today?
