The province of Misiones is home to the Jesuit Missions of the 17th and 18th centuries. There were 30 of them in all, scattered across this section of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. Thousands of indigenous Guaraní Indians lived, learned and labored under the tutelage of a handful of Jesuit priests. Click below to see more. |
