Being a mostly Islamic country alcohol is taboo. But as other religions here in Egypt don't proscibe these beverages, there is a chain of stores throughout the country called, appropriately enough, DRINKIES. And here you can find everything from beer to rum. I pop in on occasion for a bottle of Omar Khayyam Egyptian white wine. It's not bad.
